Source

Perched on a mountaintop in León Cortés, Santa Rosa Micro Mill has been operating since 2010. The setting comes with sweeping views, and weather that doesn’t always mind its manners. During the mill’s first year, strong winds tore the drying beds, giving the team an early introduction to the challenges of processing coffee at this exposed site.

Santa Rosa handles wet milling, while The Coffee Factory handles dry milling. Gelbert Naranjo represents the Santa Rosa operation. Behind every lovely cup, there’s a less glamorous world of logistics, equipment, and keeping an eye on the sky.

Story

At Macho farm, the story begins with Efraín Naranjo Naranjo and Catuai trees planted in 2003. They grow in sandy soil at 1,900 meters, in a landscape with reported relative humidity of 70% and approximately 2,000 millimeters of annual rainfall. The farm’s sandy soils, high humidity, and plentiful rainfall provide an ideal setting for exceptional coffee, while its mature 13-year-old trees lend depth and consistency to every harvest.

At Santa Rosa, coffee grows at its own pace. Shaped by the land, the weather, and years of experience, each lot reflects the patience and care that growing great coffee at this elevation demands.Greater Goods is proud to bring this Costa Rican release to your table. Find a favorite mug. Give yourself a minute. Let something lovely interrupt the usual.
